A fabulous Edwardian hall or overmantle mirror in the manner of Adams, of neat proportions and gorgeous quality. The finely carved, fluted and moulded giltwood frame is surmounted with an overhanging stepped cornice above a panelled frieze with centred plaque depicting a beautiful arrangement of flowers upon a swag of linen flanked with a further arrangement of Neoclassical motifs comprising of lambs tongue, egg, dart, foliate swags and beaded row detail. The bevelled mirror glass plate below of rectangular form is flanked with two elegantly simple, fluted pilaster columns with ribbon bow, trailing foliate, flowerhead and sphere detail, supported on shaped giltwood and ebonised platform base.
