A fine 19th Century hall or overmantle mirror of large proportions. The bevelled mirror glass plate of oval form set within a hand carved moulded giltwood frame with beautifully beaded and gadrooned borders. The cresting with stylised shell and c-scroll motifs flanked with intricate scrolling foliate, the shaped and pierced apron to the base with centred scallop shell flanked with c-scroll and flowerhead motifs.
