A rare pair of late 19th Century mahogany stools of fabulous quality, finely hand carved with rich patination and grain. The gorgeous padded seat of rectangular form is beautifully upholstered in wine velvet with brass studded trim and flanked with fabulous pierced end support side handles with scroll and acanthus motif detail. Raised over a moulded simple rail supported on beautifully carved elegant tapering cabriole legs with further acanthus leaf detail on knee terminating on scroll foot.
