A stunning 19th Century Irish solid mahogany console, side or hall table, beautifully hand carved with rich patination and grain. The moulded rim top raised over shaped apron with centred mask, intricately carved in high relief flanked with trailing foliate, c-scrolls and etched diamond motif detail, with a further arrangement of stylised shell, scrolls and foliate detail to the sides. Supported on slender tapering cabriole leg with acanthus leaf motif on knee, terminating on claw and ball foot, labelled in paper 'Millar and Beatty' Dublin.
