A very fine 19th Century giltwood overmantle mirror in the manner of Adams, fabulously hand carved and of exceptional quality. The bevelled mirror glass plate of oval form is set within a moulded giltwood frame with beaded border detail flanked with two Neoclassical flaming torches to each side. Surmounted with an intricately pierced centred crest composition of tied ribbon bow with elegant trailing ends, with a further arrangement centred ribbon motif detail flanked with stunning swags of bell husks to the pierced apron, all exquisitely carved in high relief.
