A very fine early 20th Century bentwood hat and coat stand of exceptional quality. This piece is beautifully carved, richly patinated with fine grain and in excellent condition. The top with a gorgeous arrangement of s-scrolled hooks for hats and coats, surmounted with a decorative central turned finial is raised over ring turned column support with a further circular four section tier below which forms the holder for canes, walking sticks and umbrellas. Supported on elegant quatrefoil base with outswept leg, terminating on sphere foot.
