A very rare and fine pair of 19th Century French hand painted lidded urns in the Sevres manner of exceptional quality and ormolu mounted with elaborately painted decorative golden detail against royal blue ground throughout. This stunning pair of urns are surmounted with lids with acorn finials with foliate motifs raised over an elegant baluster vase body featuring exquisite hand painted cartouches to the central reserves to the fore and rear depicting delightful genre scenes of courting couples and landscapes in delicate hues of golds, greens, blues, pinks, yellows and reds, framed with gorgeous arrangements of trailing foliate, flowerhead, scrolls and beaded motif detailing. Flanked with finely cast ormolu scrolling foliate handles to the sides, terminating on ormolu inverted platform base with foliate motifs.
