A very rare pair of 19th Century kingwood and rosewood tables / plant or bust stands with beautifully rich patination and fine grain. This exceptional pair are fabulously hand carved, crossbanded and line inlaid with finely cast ormolu mounts throughout. The well figured, moulded and crossbanded top of square form is framed with an ormolu mounted border and is embellished with a gorgeous line inlaid, quarter veneered parquetry panel to the central reserve. Raised over concave frieze above a tapering pedestal support with a further arrangement of ormolu framed, richly contrasting parquetry panels to each facet, supported on plinth base terminating on ormolu lion paw foot with scroll motif detail.
