A stunning early 19th Century Regency well figured mahogany card table with fabulous rosewood crossbanded detail throughout. This piece is of exceptional quality, finely hand carved with rich patination and gorgeous grain. The moulded and hinged top of D-end form is beautifully crossbanded with rosewood and folds back to reveal a striking fitted green baize playing surface raised over a classically simple frieze featuring a central panel. Supported on a reverse tapering square columnar pod with decorative beaded row and gadroon motif detail above a quatrefoil base with elegantly tapering outswept scrolling legs, terminating on finely cast brass toe caps and casters with lion paw foot motif detail.
